Mr. Wodeman.

I have no additions to suggest for the Hong Kong Medical and Health Policy Directive but I think it requires some amendment, partly to make our point of view in certain directions a shade clearer, and for other reasons.

For example, the University of Hong Kong is

an autonomous Body and we should be rather careful about ' our wording in regard to what we should like done. Again, we had better not be too positive in making recommendations for longer term post-graduate teaching policy because the Secretary of State will be having recommendations on these matters from the Asquith Commission.

The suggestion to merge certain teaching posts into the Colonial Medical Service might not lead to the greatest advantage of teaching in the Medical Faculty of the University and paragraph 6 had better be omitted entirely.

These amendments are put forward after Dr. Kauntze and I have had the advantage of a talk with Dr. Fehily and Dr. Ware.

Vido revised espy.
